Will Kavesh, our founder and creative director, brings his background in sculpture to a wall-mounted installation that draws both from architecture and nature. For its debut, this appears as a single standalone piece but has been conceived with a view to being multiplied as a wall treatment for larger applications.
Using wood and veneer sourced from an arborist in the Northeast, Kavesh applies the processes of handbuilt ceramics to wood fabrication, dovetailing 3D modeling and machine precision production with a richly natural, earthy feel.
Of the result – a uniquely organic form that appears to undulate and almost breathe, he explains, “All of my work is around abstraction, how we see things, and how they make us feel.”
